Admissions

We are an independent specialist school for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). All pupils attending the school have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Placements are made through consultation with Local Authorities. When a consultation is received, we carefully review the information provided to ensure that we are able to meet the pupil’s individual needs within our provision. This process may include discussions with parents/carers, professionals and the current educational setting, alongside visits or transition meetings where appropriate. A pupil is formally admitted to the school once our provision is named within Section I of their EHCP by the Local Authority.

We understand that choosing the right educational placement is an important decision for families and professionals. Our admissions process aims to be supportive, transparent and centred around ensuring the best possible outcomes for each pupil. If you would like to find out more about our provision or admissions process, please contact our SENDCo, who will be happy to discuss the support and pathways available within the school. Parents and carers may also wish to speak with their child’s Local Authority SEND Caseworker or EHCP Coordinator for further advice regarding consultations and placement processes.
